I actually find Scandinavia fascinating. Mostly because it's so different from my own country. But you guys also have the best crime novelists! And I always wonder how you manage to thrive in such cold environments. I know we all feel like we are spinning around the US, and we are, in a way. But I'm sure interesting things and people happen even in the tiniest corners of the world.

Yes, there are lots of things going on everywhere, but we tend to believe that there isn't – because we never hear about it. Currently, the fight between Trump And Musk takes up much of the news space, even though it is a quite ridiculous clowns act - some presumed adult men who both have no clue on how to behave toward other people, saying ugly things about each other publicly - while many much more important topics could be told about, from most of the world, but are being neglected.

We have many good writers up here in the cold North, that's true :) Maybe because of the cold weather that keeps the writers indoor, working, instead of going out in the weather?

Humans are quite good at adapting to almost all kinds of conditions. Even though nobody lives there permanently, even Antarctica, with its -80 degrees Celsius or even colder at times, can host plenty of scientists who even go outside to do various practical work.

And Mexico, near the equator, with its very hot and, at times, stormy weather, also has human inhabitants :) No wonder that sombreros are popular, with the hot sunshine always baking down.

No matter where we are, no matter the weather, we are, though, all humans. All important and interesting. Some are just better at attracting the attention of others, it seems.

My mom and I read a ton of Scandinavian crime novels, and we often joke that you guys write about it because it doesn't really happen there. At least the news we get here seem to paint such a peaceful, snow-covered existence. We do have human inhabitants in here! And we are all not part of a cartel. Who would have guessed? I kind of hate that my country is lately mostly known for that.
