Oh, now you've made it impossible for me to hate fall... 😜To be honest, I thank you. I've been working on reframing the change of seasons for years now since I often dread it because I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder.

I also thought about how similar this is to how we think about age. We all love and glorify the spring and summer of life. Fall and winter, not so much. But there's beauty in them, too.

Yes, they are very similar - and even though young/spring seems to carry all the growth, the fall/old age is capable of sharing all the gains. And winter is when we can rest and enjoy what we earned during the cycle.

Somewhat encuraging, I think, that nature repeats everything next year - and the next, and the next... maybe we people also do that?

Yeah, I read somewhere that people in countries with large winters (you might be one of them) do that: embrace winter as a season of resting and recharging instead of trying to push through the same activities as in the warmer months.

That's the way - we must live with nature, not against it. Of course, when everything takes place indoor, in heated and illuminated buildings, there isn't much difference between the seasons, but then we also run into depressions and other problems because life is completely out of balance.
