Just a detail to think about: if you sign up for a newsletter, you'll get an email with a confirmation link.

This sometimes ends up in the spam folder!

But you'll need to find that email and click the link, for the newsletter registration to be complete.

I found it in my spam this morning (I always check there regularly). I received a confirmation email upon clicking the link, so I assume I'm all signed up!

Good! I don't know why they end up in the spam, but good that you found it. It looks in the system like you are signed up correctly, so it should work.

Thanks, yes, I like it :)

It is good to work on constructing something – to have those longer perspectives and try to imagine what would be useful for the visitors. I like long perspectives. In general, I like big thoughts and a rich life – that's the reason for the XL in the name.

When making websites, there are very many clever features that can be added. The main trick is then to sort the possibilities, go with the valuable ones, and omit the others. This is also a matter of economy, as my budget is just about zero. So, it's all about getting the best out of what's free.

One perspective for the future is to some day get a message from a user who says something like: "Thank you for making this place! I just spent an hour reading, and I didn't look at my phone or my emails a single time on the way – now I'll have a cup of tea and then dive in for another hour or so".

Dreams... :)

I actually miss classic blogs and this concept is definitely reminiscent of those days. Looking forward to your big thoughts 😊

It is the same thing, just with one big difference: I am doing all that I can to eliminate the hunt for the newest – because, all the older articles are just as good as the new ones. It is very rare that one of them becomes outdated (as it is not a news site).

I am not too good at this, I must admit. The weekly newsletter tells about the posts with the latest date – I haven't found out yet how to let it be with the latest added, no matter the date on the post itself. Also, a couple of places show the newest posts first, rather than some other sorting principle.

But I'll figure out along the way what to do. One thing will be collections of articles, which can be a bunch of both new and old ones. But what else I can do, still needs to materialize in my brain.

I'm sure it will all materialise in small steps as you go along!

Thanks, and it probably will. Life consists of small steps. Even an XL life :)
